The countdown is on for our Disney World vacation next week. It will be the first time we travel with all three kids on an airplane. That’s why I’m preparing with kids travel activity bags!

We are counting the sleeps until the big ride on the airplane. Each morning, the kids wake up and say, “It’s Disney day!” and we gently remind them that it’s coming soon, but today is not the day.
This week I will spend many hours planning, list making, and laundering to ensure everybody is ready!
At the top of my list is packing the kids travel activity bags. I want to make sure they each have new and fun options to keep them entertained on our flight. It’s important to pack new toys or games because then it’s like a surprise each time they open something up. This is a part of the strategy in keeping them occupied.
Our three kids are ages 6, 3, and 1. I’ll be packing three separate travel bags for them with activities appropriate for each of their ages.
Did you know that you can also shop my direct links using the search bar underneath each activity guide? These will take you directly to my Amazon store so you can purchase exactly what I have shared today!
Our oldest is 6 and by far the most chill and laid back child of the three. I am not too worried about keeping him entertained but I did want him to feel the excitement and adventure of our trip so I grabbed a few fun little things for him to put in his travel bag that I will surprise him with when we get on the airplane.
Our middle son is three and a busy body. I’m not really sure what to anticipate with him on our flight but I am going to be prepared with anything. I plan on keeping him busy by by bringing a variety of options in his travel bag. He will have fidget toys, search and find books, and something fun and new, Wikki Sticks!
Our daughter will be 2 in September and this is our first time flying with her. I’m a little anxious as I remember this being the most challenging age to fly with kids, but I know having a lot of options for distracting and comforting her will help! In her travel bag I will be bringing her favorite bamboo muslin blankie, along with a board book and some Disney figurines for us to play with.
Whether you are taking a short road trip or a big plane ride across the country, being prepared to keep your little ones entertained will be one of the best things you could do for your own sanity and ensure you get to really enjoy the start to your vacation!
